We have just returned to nz after a fabulous 10 day charter with friends aboard Cool Change ,sailing from Vila in Vanuatu ,through the islands of Emau,Epi,Malikula finally toEspirito Santo. What a memorable, comfortable and totally relaxing trip.Don and Marilyn showed us the sites, whales, the fantastic Dugone in Lamon Bay,trading fish with the very likeable local villagers for fresh fruit and vegetables and going ashore to met with the villagers in their home envirament.--fantastic experience, very humbiling to realise how well off we all are.We even introduced Don to some game fishing as we sailed along, with strikes from sailfish, wahoo, yellowfin tuna blue marlin and of course that shark that eat our yellowfin!!Thankyou Don and Marilyn.Love the boat.

Discovering that we have been mentioned on Don and Marilyn's website made us feel as though we'd been "mentioned in dispatches" - a real honour. However skipper's comments -with true Logan modesty- hardly do the trip justice! We'd planned a quiet week to celebrate our first granddaughter's fourth birthday (the family had come to NZ in January, and it gave us oldies the excuse for a trip we'd otherwise never even have considered) - but things changed! A second grandchild had started life and the parents-to-be arrived back in England before we even left. So Cool Change and Don and Marilyn were ours for a week - "unrestricted". A couple of delightfully easy days convinced Caroline that, perhaps, this really was "the life". Wonderful food, wonderful company - and a sailboat that offered comfort, stability, space, views...none of all that heeling over and clutter of a traditionally rigged mono-hull, none of the airless cramped shared space "below" of the Bavaria 42 we'd sailed up the English Channel for a week in 2007.
So we just stayed. And stayed, And a week became two and we had still hardly set foot on North Island, let alone seen the rest of NZ. So be careful - Cool Change may seriously challenge your view of life, the universe, and all that!. She certainly did for us!

Hello Logans,
Just staying with Sam and Steve to help out a bit with some computer work for their business, as I am between jobs. (I went back to school and got my business diploma). This is my first time looking at you're website and I am in Awe!! I dream of places like that everyday! Hope all is well , sounds like you've been busy. I would love to save my money and come to NZ with Sam, Steve and the kids next time. Myia and Landon are growing like bad weeds and are absolutely amazing young people, is seems they grow up a little everyday!
Well, take care, good luck in all your adventures, would love to see you out this way again! Say hi to everyone!
